For 75 years, Emergo-Group has been building expertise in infrastructure solutions and construction materials. What started in 1950 as a small company founded by family De Neef selling plastic products for construction, has grown into an established player in civil engineering and public works. The group consists of two complementary companies: Emotec and Emotrade.

Emotec specializes in steel construction and bridge techniques, combining in-house manufacturing with an exclusive 60-year partnership with Maurer SE, the global leader in bridge technology. As Maurer's exclusive distributor for Belgium and Luxembourg, Emotec provides advanced solutions including expansion joints and bearings for critical infrastructure like the Vilvoorde viaduct.

Emotrade focuses on distributing and installing geotextiles and industrial construction materials, specializing in preventive waterproofing as exclusive Belgian representative for multiple leading brands.

For three generations, Emergo-Group has been a true family story. The third generation remains at the heart of the business: Leen De Neef and Caroline De Neef continue as driving forces of Emotrade, leading the geotextiles and construction materials divisions respectively. Paul De Neef, who has led Emotec since 1994, guides the transition as Strategic Advisor. Together with Pierre A. Smetryns as new CEO of the group and General Manager of Emotec, they write the next chapter of sustainable growth.
